Frequently Asked Questions

Is this flashcard maker really free?

Yes, completely free. There are no sign-ups, no accounts, and no limits on how many cards you can create. The tool runs entirely in your browser.

Are my flashcards saved anywhere?

Your cards exist only in the current browser session. They are not sent to any server. Use the "Export Cards" button to download your deck as a CSV file so you can reload it later using "Import CSV."

What format does the CSV import/export use?

Each line should contain the front text and back text separated by a comma. For example: "What is photosynthesis?,The process by which plants convert sunlight into energy." If your text contains commas, only the first comma is used as the delimiter.

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes, the flashcard maker is fully responsive and works on mobile devices. You can tap to flip cards and swipe through your deck using the navigation buttons.

What does "Mark as Known" and "Mark for Review" do?

These buttons help you track your study progress. Cards marked as "Known" are ones you have memorized, while "For Review" cards need more practice. The stats are displayed below the card during study mode.
